Watch out guys, DA is after your art! If you have any art that is pornographic, contains sexual nudity, or is an image with bodily fluids (bye bye comfy sofa) it may be deleted and you may be banned permanently. This has been late in announcement, so for most of you this may be old news. Very old news. y!Gallery is an art community dedicated to the male sexuality. Its current focus is on male homosexuality, so for those of you who joined this club to support yaoi artists, that is the place to go. Fell free to post your artwork as well! They are currently not accepting female-focused artwork. (For more information, please read their TOS. Well, boom bang kablooey! Down goes the adult art at Sheezy. So to say, we're screwed. If you're willing to put up with Livejournal, art communities are being made and friends are trying to stick together. If you would still like to be a part of the hot action, check out communities like Open Art, opperated by Nichie. If anyone has any links they would like to share, please send a note, post a comment, anything you prefer! I'll make an update.

What the Soggy SOFA is All About:
Tired of having dry bed sheets at night? During the day? While you work? Tired of losing all of those sweet-tasting artists like ~massive-destruction or ~SJen to the censorship of DA?

If you're horny and are now pushed to the forbidden limit of having to go to paid sites to view your mature art, then you have come to the right place.

Here at the soggy SOFA, we support the fallen artists and future artists of smut. Why? Because the worse that happens is we have a fun time bitching to one another.



The SOFA allows for artists to gather and, with any luck, form a solid voice to bring to DA's ears. Mature art should not be "too devious for deviant ART" (SJen.) Instead of banning artists, DA should set up a better "mature content" system. (After all, how mature do you have to be to see a nipple?) Why not just set up a system where all art considered pornographic has to be labeled as mature and has to use a warning label as their thumbnail? That way, if a user does not wish to view any maturely rated art, they can simply choose to not view it in their settings and voila: no deviations of the sort will appear on their screen. And what about DA viewers who don't have an account? Well, if the thumbnail reads "MATURE CONTENT" then maybe they can make their own decisions.

Perhaps it's silly, perhaps it's futile, and perhaps it's pointless. But we may as well try, right?

Hell, if this doesn't work (or if we just don't care enough) then this club can be a shameless plug to the sites the artists now reside in.

To join: simply add this club to your friends list and we'll add you back. If you want to watch us but not be included in any list of membership, only add us to your watch list. We will not add you back! Alright, DA's "friend" system is shit. Even if you only want to watch it'll notify me that you added the club to your friend's list. So: Add the club and if you DO NOT want to be on the member list, send me a note titled "Not a member" or something along those lines, alright? Yeah, maybe it's a pain in the ass, but I don't want a lot of notes saying "add me to the club." Fair enough? Danke.

You may also back out at any time! Send the club a note with the subject "Take me off!" and you will not be associated to the club any more.
